The goal of future network is to expand and sustain collaboration between Norwegian and Russian researchers to address global challenges in science, technology and medicine in society.
The network will bring together scholars from the Russian Federation and Norway as well as from the third countries to jointly address current health challenges and move forward the interdisciplinary research area of the social studies of science, technology and medicine.
Themes of network research activity will include:
- Comparative studies of evidence-based approaches, systems medicine and biomarker technologies
- Technoscientific research infrastructures (registries, data centers, biobanks) and their governance and ethics;
- the changing organization of health care services (welfare technologies, smart care, do it yourself medicine, personalized medicine)
- politics of risk assessment, valuations in and of environmental health.
In Norway the Network will include research groups and centers at University of Oslo (TIK Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture), University of Bergen (Centre for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities, Centre for Cancer Biomarkers), Norwegian University for Science and Technology (NTNU) Trondheim (Center for Digital Life Norway, Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture).
